Color Lock is an original memory game with four soft-gradient pads. The rules are classic — watch, then repeat — but higher levels punish rushed taps and distracted first glances. Use these tips to push further.
Chunk the pattern
Do not memorize twelve separate colors as twelve items. Group them: “red-teal, yellow-purple, red-red…” Saying a short phrase out loud (quietly) locks the order better than staring silently.
Anchor the first and last pad
Most misses happen on the opening or closing step. When the sequence plays, deliberately note the first light and the last light, then fill the middle.
Use Replay pattern once — not five times
Replay is there for blinks and interruptions. Replaying endlessly trains hesitation. Watch once carefully, replay only if you truly lost a step, then commit.
Wait for each light to settle
During your turn, tap only after the previous pad has finished its glow. Stacking taps feels faster but skips confirmation and causes off-by-one errors.
Short daily runs beat tilted marathons
Memory games punish frustration. Two focused five-minute sessions usually beat one tilted half hour.
