Prism Mosaic is PokiiiGame’s original jewel mosaic puzzle. Gems come one at a time from a shuffled bag. You place matching colors onto a glowing picture, and the artwork fills in tile by tile. This guide explains the rules that are easy to miss — especially the holding shelf — so your first clears feel calm instead of jammed.
The core loop in 30 seconds
- Look at the current gem in the center slot.
- If a matching tile is glowing / open, tap that tile to place it.
- If that color is not open yet, tap Park on shelf (or an empty shelf slot).
- Later, tap a parked gem to bring it back (or swap it with the current gem).
- Fill every required tile to reveal the picture and unlock the next mosaic.
Why only some tiles glow
You can faintly see the finished picture (the ghost mosaic), but you cannot place on every empty cell at once. A tile is open when it sits on the outer edge of the shape, or next to an already-filled tile (or empty background). Placing gems unlocks neighbors further inside. Locked inner tiles stay dim until you work your way in.
That edge-first rule is what makes Prism Mosaic feel like a sorting puzzle instead of simple paint-by-numbers.
What the holding shelf is for
The bag order is random. You will often draw a color whose open tiles are not ready yet — for example a white highlight in the middle of Ruby Heart, or the yellow eyes on Moon Cat. Those gems are not “useless”; they are early.
- Park them on one of the four shelf slots.
- Keep placing open edge colors so the mosaic unlocks inward.
- When a parked color starts glowing, tap it on the shelf and place a short run of that color.
If the shelf is full and your current gem still has no open match (and no shelf gem can place either), the level jams. Restart and park rarer inner colors sooner next time.
Shelf habits that prevent jams
- Park accents early. Whites, pinks, eye colors, and small inner details are the usual jam culprits.
- Do not fill the shelf with the same edge color. If cyan is already open on Ocean Wave, place cyan instead of parking more of it.
- Swap when Hint points at a shelf gem. Tap a parked gem while holding another to swap, then clear the open run.
- Watch the Shelf counter. When it shows 3/4, treat the last slot as emergency space only.
Reading the board
Trust the glow more than the full ghost. Open matching tiles pulse with a bright outline when your current gem can go there. Wrong-color taps never place — if nothing pulses, park or swap.
Picture-by-picture practice path
- Ruby Heart — learn parking white/pink accents while clearing the red edge.
- Golden Star — practice orange accents that unlock later.
- Ocean Wave — clear cyan rim before the blue core.
- Candy Flower — multi-color petals; park stem greens until the center opens.
- Lucky Fish / Moon Cat / Ice Castle / Sunset Tree — longer unlock paths; treat the shelf as your main tool.

- Place: tap a glowing matching tile.
- Park: Park on shelf button or empty shelf slot.
- Take / swap: tap a gem already on the shelf.
- Hint: suggests place, park, or a shelf swap.
- Restart / Menu: rebuild the level or return to the title card.
